dalit leaders mobilized to reach cases to headquarters

            Kanchanpur, Mar. 30: Leaders of the Dalit community have been mobilized to reach the incidents of caste discrimination and untouchability that take place in villages on the Dalit community in Kanchanpur district, to the district headquarters.

            The Nepal National Dalit Social Welfare Association has started the campaign to affiliate the dalit community in local level in the human rights network to reach the victims to the legal bodies.

            It has been easier to reach to headquarters the human rights violations on Dalits after the networking. There have been more than two dozen incidents of human rights violations in the district in one year.

            The youths, students, rights activists, and intellectuals of Dalit community in Dodhara, Chandani VDCs across Mahakali River, and Daiji, Jhalari and Pipaladi VDCs have been connected in the network, said human rights defender project Chief Lila Nepali.
